Grant Coordinator

-Develops and coordinates grant-funded programs for agencies, institutions, local government, or units of local government, such as school systems or metropolitan police departments

-Reviews literature dealing with funds available through grants from governmental agencies and private foundations to determine feasibility of developing programs to supplement local annual budget allocations

-Discusses program requirements and sources of funds available with administrative personnel

-Works with fiscal officer in preparing narrative justification for purchase of new equipment and other budgetary expenditures

-Submits proposal to officials for approval

-Writes grant application, according to format required, and submits application to funding agency or foundation

-Meets with representatives of funding sources to work out final details of proposal

-Directs and coordinates evaluation and monitoring of grant-funded programs, or writes specifications for evaluation or monitoring of program by outside agency

-Monitors paperwork connected with grant-funded programs

-Planning, execution, monitoring and tracking of events and activities

You will be responsible for writing interesting and engaging articles geared for a specific target audience and have the ability to come up with original, relevant and timely topics. You can work from home and choose your own hours to complete projects.

Donation Coordinator

-Researches and cultivates relationships with individual and corporate donors and community agencies for the solicitation of in-kind goods

-Communicates with potential donors regarding items to be donated, as well as planned delivery of said items.

-Exercises discretion regarding acceptance and/or disposition of donated goods and maintains donor relationship through attentive customer service

-Completes donation paperwork for donors

-Works with clients to ensure the proper processing of donations

-Monitors the donation rooms to ensure organization and cleanliness.

-Facilitates logistics related to delivery of extra donations to other shelter sites or agencies

-Acknowledges volunteer in-kind and financial donations in a timely manner

-Meets regularly with Development Team to review and assess volunteer needs

 Community Outreach Coordinator

-Connects the public to the organization.

-He or she promotes the mission of the nonprofit among the local community.

-Organize events, recruit volunteers, or arrange other projects to get the community excited about and invested in the organization

-Collect information on availabilities and skills

 Mock Interview Volunteers

-Lead the participant through a 30 minute job interview using questions provided Saydah’s Career Planning Adventure, Inc.

-Provide participant with feedback, based on Saydah’s Career Planning Adventure, Inc standards, and ratings in key areas using forms provided by Saydah’s Career Planning

-Understand the importance of honest and constructive feedback as part of the participant’s learning experience

-Use active listening skills to help the participant simulate a real life interview situation

-Paraphrase or restate difficult questions in order to help the participant understand the question and provide an appropriate answer
